R&R TIRE SURFACE PROTECTORS, INC.
CELEBRATES THE LIFE
OF
CAROLINE K. MC ARTHUR
1945-2014

by Cindy K Habermehl

JANUARY 3, 2014 – COLORADO – R&R Tire Surface Protectors, Inc. has officially announced the passing of industry mogul, Caroline K. McArthur, President of R&R Tire Surface Protectors, Inc., from natural causes. Caroline died on January 2, 2014, at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, Colorado with her family by her side.

She is survived by her beloved family: her mother, Ruth Kyle of Fort Collins, Colorado; husband, Douglas McArthur, now-President of R&R Tire Surface Protectors, Inc.; son, Lance Hagans of Guam; daughter, Lonni Buerger, Production Manager of R&R Tire Surface Protectors, Inc.; daughter, Cindy Habermehl, VP/Director of Operations at R&R Tire Surface Protectors, Inc.; son, Augie McArthur of Fort Collins, Colorado; daughter, Kristin Fisher of Windsor, Colorado; in addition to ten grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Caroline worked for Hewlett-Packard for 14 years, Comlinear Corporation for eight years as the Production Manager, and was co-owner and President of R & R Tire Surface Protectors for over 18 years. She is preceded in death by her father, Victor Wise. Caroline loved to play bridge with her family of friends and her best friend, Nila. She enjoyed the theater and was a long-time patron of the Lincoln Center and Candle Light Dinner Theater. She loved to go camping and fishing at her favorite spot at Longdraw Reservoir. She was an avid Broncos fan and enjoyed movies and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a dedicated member of Unity Church in Fort Collins.

Many charities benefited from Caroline’s thoughtful and renowned generosity, including St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Habitat for Humanity, Special Olympics of Colorado, Larimer County Humane Society and so many more.

Caroline was the driving force in R&R for over 15 years. She developed strong relationships with our customers and vendors. She made deep connections as friends, not just business associates. Caroline led the growth of the business with her dynamic, warm, and generous personality. Her enthusiasm was contagious.

From the beginning, Caroline had many roles, including serving as President and as R&D Director. Her R&D background was an excellent springboard for one of her earliest contributions, the creation of the Company’s EnviroShield product — the first of its kind to the interior construction rental industry. She was a true pioneer, our pioneer.

Her invaluable insights on business trends and our customers’ rapidly changing needs influenced new approaches to the development of new surface protection products. The significant contributions she made still distinguish R&R Tire Surface Protectors, Inc. as the leader in global interior construction surface protection.

As we grew, Caroline nurtured the culture and growth of R&R through her values, her insightfulness and her charm. She was our pillar of strength. Together, our family and the Company celebrate the beautiful person she was.

A visionary, true leader, and dear friend, Caroline will be forever missed by everyone who knew her.
